Multiple informants from inside the Auburn correctional facility have mentioned that Matias Reyes and Korey Wise came up with plans on how to lie to the public and police about him being the only attacker who was there during the rape of Patricia Meili. This letter to Nancy Ryan is one of their several statements that echo such an idea. This particular message was sent to Ryan, who was the district attorney on the 2002 case. It stated that both Wise and Reyes had incentives to make up such a story and that Reyes had not made a conversion to a more Christian set of morals and principles. Instead, the informant stated that Reyes had been having sexual relations with other male inmates.
